The Process
The Comox Valley Regional Sustainability Strategy is a two phase process.
Phase One - Strategic Visioning, October 2008 - July 2009
Phase Two - Action Planning August – December 2009
Phase One - Strategic Visioning, October 2008 - July 2009
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the latest information on key sustainability issues and trends that are expected to affect or present challenges to the region
- Identify further issues, opportunities, constraints, ideas and solutions
- Work collaboratively to define the visions, goal statements and targets
Phase Two - Action Planning August – December 2009
- Develop comprehensive action plans that will be used to implement the strategic goals and objectives created during Phase One
- Explore ways for how community and local government can work together to implement the strategy
